Industry of the Year

Package Craft has been named the 2022 Pitt County Industry of the Year. For nearly 30 years, Pitt County has recognized a manufacturer or distributor that best represents our community as a model corporate citizen. Package Craft, part of The Royal Group, a division of Schwarz Partners, is located in Bethel, N.C., in northern Pitt County.

Greenville, NC (Wednesday, February 22, 2017) A distinctive line of products with an equally distinctive brand was recognized Tuesday for its quality business performance and leadership in the Pitt County industrial community. Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery was selected by the Pitt County Economic Development as the county’s 2016-17 Industry of the Year as a manufacturer that best represents the community as a model corporate citizen, Brad Hufford, PCDC associate director for retention and expansion, said.

GREENVILLE, NC (February 17, 2016) - A company that plans to invest $65 million in expanding facilities and add 100 employees to a 350 people staff was honored on Tuesday for its leadership and community impact. The Pitt County Economic Development named Mayne Pharma the Pitt County Industry of the Year on Tuesday, recognizing company for its expansion plans, employment opportunities and fostering relationships with the community, including East Carolina University and Pitt Community College.

March 1, 2011 - Henry Smith's 25-year commitment to his Farmville business and his community earned him business accolades Tuesday from the Pitt County Economic Development. Smith, 65, co-founded Carolina Medical Products Co. in the early 1980s with partner James Olsen, who has since retired. During a presentation at his business, Smith, who serves as company president, was given a plaque recognizing its selection as Pitt County's Industry of the Year.
